Product Description |
| Having chosen to stay with Sam after the end of the battle for the AllSpark, Bumblebee made arrangements to stay close to him at all times. It's been a pretty good deal. He gets regular detailing, and as much high grade fuel as he needs. Plus, he gets to spend time with Sam and Mikaela. His vocal processors still aren't fully up to snuff, but he and his friends communicate just fine. If he ever misses the action of battle, he can always give Ironhide a call and go Decepticon hunting. The battle is on and this bright yellow warrior is ready - are you? Get ready to roll out with this Autobot ally! This detailed Bumblebee figure unleashes a launching pulse missile in robot mode and converts to a cool, Camaro concept car in vehicle mode! Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe Bumblebee is a great addition to your collection! Deluxe figures are approximately 12.5cm tall in robot mode. |

I'm getting sick with people rating down some of these Transformers because they're apparently 'too complex' to transform. It's not true at all. I've had no problem transforming this figure and niether has my friends kid whom I gave my previous version of this figure to. It's a very well engineered figure that looks great in both modes and I'm glad they've improved the head sculpt too.
For people who apparently lack the 'skills' to transform figures from this line...well that's why Hasbro released the Fast Action Battler range of simple but far less accurate figures. They serve their purpose well though as people here have rated this figure down for being too complex for them maybe I should go rate down the FABs for being too simple and crappy. |

I recently bought this figure, I'd put it off for some time due to the fact I owned the previous Transformers Movie Bumblebee, however I'm glad I did pick it up, he looks much better.
He is much more detailed, just slightly less so than the premium first movie Bumblebee and shares a very similar mode, differences are the new front bumper giving it a much more muscular look, slightly more blue car windows and in robot mode, there is Bumblebee's plasma cannon on his right arm with a firing missile which I think is a very nice addition, as I just wasn't convinced with the hand held cannon/sword which was very bland. Also the main limb/hip colour is grey now instead of black, which I think works well, it's much more accurate now and they've ditched the head mould and gone with a more accurate one which is a great addition to such a nice figure.
Good build quality, the parts are all nice and tight and move well, good articulation on this character and quite a good representation of a well loved character. My only complaint, which is only a minor thing, is sometimes the cannon can be a little tricky to place in car mode, and you can see the missile at the back, however this is nothing bad, as you can leave the missile to 1 side.
I'd give this character a good 8/10 and would say it's a must for collectors and children alike. |
Recommended age is 5, what a joke!!

I was thinking of buying my son this toy for his fourth birthday, like another reviewer I expected to do most of the transforming. After reading the reviews on Amazon I decided not to buy it.
Unfortunately my son got it from his Auntie, and while he does love it (to the point where we have to pry it from his hands as he sleeps) he does get upset when with the slightest movement a piece pops off.
I'm an engineer and am extremely practical having spent years taking things apart and putting things back together (and I'm not talking car engines but small electronic assemblies). While I did manage to transform the toy into the car it was an absolute nightmare. The toy is detailed, but to the point that there is so much going on the pieces have to be in the exact position before it will transform and due to the fact that the joints are loose the slightest movement will put you back to step one. As the majority of connections are ball and socket it doesn't take much for the thing to fall apart.
So in summary your child will probably love it, but don't expect it to last too long!! |
Good Detail but a degree in origami required

| Brought this for my 4 year old son and accepted with the 5 year old rating on the package that I would be the one doing most of the "transforming". Christ's it's difficult and infuriating! The head drops off at the slightest touch and now that we've misplaced the instruction sheet (not that I was ever able to follow)we can no longer fold it back into a car. On the plus side there is an impresive amount of detail but I belive Hasbro would have done better to provide models which could transform with arround 6 movements rather than 15 plus movements required to get from car to robot. Still, my son loves them all the same! |
